Our Remodeling Process

Initial Consultation

Our initial consultation takes place in our showroom and typically lasts about one hour. During this meeting, you will sit down with our owner to discuss your project needs in detail. We ask that you bring cell phone photos of the areas you’d like to remodel. Together, we will review these photos and explore various options for your remodel. Based on your needs, descriptions, and data from similar past projects, we will provide you with a comprehensive quote.

Design and Planning

Our design and planning phase is a major selling point for Lincorp/Borchert. We have on-staff designers who work closely with you to select materials, colors, and layout. This phase typically involves a series of 3 to 6 meetings, held once a week, where we continuously update specifications and drawings to incorporate your selections. We use 2020 design software to create detailed 3D renderings, helping you visualize your new bathroom. Our showroom is stocked with samples, so you don’t have to drive from place to place. The quicker you make decisions on materials and layout, the faster we can move through this phase, ensuring a smooth construction process.

Permits and Preparation

The permits required for a bathroom remodel vary depending on the scope of work. Typically, mechanical and building permits are needed, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC permits. Our team handles all necessary permits and prepares your space for construction, ensuring that everything is in place for a seamless transition to the building phase.

Construction

The construction phase of a bathroom remodel typically takes between 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the scope of work. Some projects may take less time, while others may take a bit longer. We use high-quality materials, including custom cabinets and premium fixtures. Our countertops come from Solid Surfaces Unlimited, Cambria, and Envi Surfaces, and we typically use Delta or Kohler plumbing supplies. For tile needs, we work with Beaver Tile, Virginia Tile, and The Tile Shop, though we can source tile from anywhere. Our on-staff project manager oversees all job sites, ensuring that work is done properly and on schedule. Homeowners have access to an online calendar to track progress.

Final Touches

At the end of every project, we conduct a thorough walkthrough with the homeowner to ensure that everything meets their expectations. Our goal is to have no punch list items, but if there are any issues, we address them promptly. Our project manager works closely with you to ensure that every detail is perfect before we hand over your new bathroom.
